Today is such an exciting day. One of my best selling products, Magnets Lap Book, made it into the TeachersPayTeachers newsletter!
This lap book is a wonderful tool to help supplement your magnet unit and it is easy to use. Each section of the lap book comes with a picture of the completed project and step-by-step directions on how to complete each section.
This lap book includes area dedicated to:
- Uses of Magnets: Most students will just think of magnets being used on a refrigerator, but magnets are also used inside refrigerators and many other places such as; roller coasters, cell phones, and computers.
- Magnetic vs. Not Magnetic: This section provides an opportunity for a quick and easy experiment. Groups, partners, or individuals are given 1 magnet and one of each of the listed items
- metal spoon
- paper clip
- rock or mineral
- plastic cup
- coffee cup
- aluminum can
Students then test to see which items are magnetic and put the corresponding picture in the correct pocket.
3. Magnetic Vocabulary: In this section your students will match words with the correct vocabulary picture and can then write the definition on the flap.
- magnetic poles
4. Magnetic Field and Compass: This section explains what a magnetic field is and the inside workings of a compass.
I hope this lap book helps enhance your magnet unit. Here is what a few other buyers have said.
