First of all, I always wondered how they would breathe when they would burying their heads and why would they leave their huge bodies exposed. And second, wouldn’t that be a cool job just following ostriches around and seeing if they stick their heads in the ground, I mean I’m pretty sure they observed other aspects of the ostrich’s life, but still a pretty neat job. Maybe we could all be “ostrich watchers” in the summer to supplement our teacher incomes! I bet they pay well.
It’s that time again, FUN FACT #5! I was amazed to find out that all these fruits that I love are members of the family of flowers that I love! Did anyone else know this?
Ok, I know you have been waiting… it’s FUN FACT Time!!!
Maybe this is why I love French Fries! It isn’t really the delicious mouthwatering golden french fry, it is the medicinal ketchup! So, my new theory is that Ketchup must be healthy and therefore so are French Fries! YAY! (For those who are not aware… This is a joke! Please do not use Ketchup as medication!)
It is the end of the school year and I know a lot of you may have contemplated this type of exercise! Just realize it only burns 150 calories an hour, maybe a punch bag would be better?
Could you imagine if we could teach our students to do this????? No more complaining about their hands hurting when completing math problems or writing a paragraph! Just switch hands!
While I was teaching 4th grade at NCS (Nashville Christian School) I started a tradition of telling “Fun Facts” during our lunch. I have decided to keep this practice going for all of my NEW friends!!!!! Every couple of days I will post a new “Fun Fact” for you to IMPRESS your colleagues! Enjoy!
Yep, it is true, Scotland’s national animal in the Unicorn. I wonder how many they have still in their natural habitat? 😉 Growing up I loved Unicorns!
Shout Out to all of my Lisa Frank lovers out there! I was super cool in Elementary and Middle School with my Lisa Frank binder and pencils. I bet I would have been even cooler in Scotland.
